Confronting the vagaries of working directly from nature is one thing; making good subjective choices which lead to artistry is something else. During this week you will be introduced to methods and ways of looking which will help you with both. All levels welcome with the understanding that you bring a healthy mix of humility and patience.

Break Down of the Week
Day One: Lecture on the prismatic palette.
Discussion will include:
- Framing out an effect of light
- Structuring an under-painting
- Working in close, clean value
- How color is affected prismatically by the angle of the sun
and prevailing atmospheric conditions
Day Two In Studio - Figure Drawing
As drawing is the cornerstone of everything, we will spend one day working from the figure. Unity, proportion and rhythmic connectivity will be stressed.
Day Three AM: Morning Demonstration
Day Three PM: Students Painting on Locaiton (locations TBA)
