OCT. 2027 PAPA (4-Instructor) WORKSHOP

Join the Plein Air Painters of America (PAPA) for a rare opportunity to paint in beautiful Taos, NM alongside four (4) of PAPA's Signature Members: Cindy Baron, Phil Starke, Lori Putnam, Shanna Kunz. This destination workshop, offered directly through the Plein Air Painters of America is unlike any other, thanks to its unique format, expert instruction, collaborative spirit, and the inspiring location. The PAPA-Taos workshop will take place Oct. 11-15, 2027.

Open to artists of all skill levels and working in various mediums (including oil, acrylic, gouache, and watercolor, though demos will be in oil).  The workshop will emphasize essential principles of plein air painting, composition, drawing, value, and color, while helping you develop confidence and strengthen your personal style.  Expect individual guidance, daily demonstrations, and a dynamic learning environment.

This five-day experience includes:
* Monday, May 11 - Instructor-led visual presentations.
* Tuesday-Friday, May 19-22 Four full days of outdoor painting instruction amidst the stunning scenery.
Participants will rotate through two instructor teams:
* Lori Putnam and Shanna Kunz
* Phil Starke and Cindy Baron

Founded in 1986, the Plein Air Painters of America started as a small group of artists dedicated to painting the landscape directly from life. Today we have 40 active members who participate in annual gatherings, museum exhibitions, and Master-level workshops.
