A spirited adventurer, Lynn Gertenbach began traveling around the world when she was 21, where she spent many days in Europe’s great museums drawing knowledge from the masters. She has participated in group show at the Laguna Museum of Art and had a one woman show in 1972 featuring 75 of her paintings from India, a country she has traveled to seven times in her life. Other museums exhibitions include the Pacific Asia Museum, the Carnegie Museum, the Fredrick Weisman Museum in Malibu, the Haggin Museum, and the Isetan Museum, in Tokyo, as well as the Masters of the American West, at the Autry Museum. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame and received the Life Achievement award from the Colorado Institute of Art. Her work has received numerous best of show awards in national art competitions. Gertenbach continues to teach workshops in the U.S. and in Europe, is a signature member of Plein Air Painters of America, Oil Painters of America, and the California Art Club.
